Warcross is a book about Emika Chen, a girl who unintentionally glitched herself into an international championship opening game and became famous overnight. I will still go on for the sequel and I would recommend reading it. Parent Review: It was all mainly appropiate except for one very long steamy passionate kiss scene in Ch 21 and another kissing scene in a hot tub in ch 23 (very short). Conclusion: I loved th eparts of the books that were romantic and the first few games anf THE TWISTS but disliked everything she didn't explain. I can't believe them and Just they were worth reading the book for. Then, the final tournament and more things in the darkworld were just meh and honestly disapointing: However, the three final twist t the very end of the book were shocking. It was so good and so I loved pages 200-300 of the book: 5 stars. Then, I loved,loved,loved Emika and Hideo's relationship. I was always thinking, 'How did she do that? What? That doesn't make sense.' So let's get to the good parts: after slogging through the book's middle section, it finally got around to the first touranement and that was genius! I loved it so much, it was like a really fun sport/game. and how she hacked into it? A lot of the hacking stuff was really really unclear to me. 2, How everone ALWAYS wore their warcross lenses and everything was virtual for a lot of the beginning sections. Somehow with contacts she was able to hack things and stuff. Like there was no explanation of how she was hacking things (she didn't have a phone). It started off strong but immediatly after that there were three things that bothered me for the next 150 or so pages: 1, how Emika was just hacking things. I'd always wanted to read another Marie Lu book (after loving every word of Kingdom of Back)- and I finally got around to it. Don't get me wrong: I would still recommend reading this book.
